Learning Essential Safety Skills at a Crucial Crew Print E-mail
OVER 850 school children from Hertford and Ware have been learning essential safety skills at a Crucial Crew event in at Morgans JMI School in Hertford.

The scheme, which was organised by Hertfordshire Constabulary, will see every year six primary school student in Hertford and Ware attend a series of sessions which are designed to teach them practical safety advice.

Topics covered in the sessions include:

  • Hertfordshire Constabulary – 999 calls
  • Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service – fire safety
  • First Capital Connect - safety on the railways
  • Extended schools co-ordinators
  • Crime Prosecution Service – the court system
  • UK Power Networks – electricity safety
  • Tesco - healthy eating
  • School nurses – smoking and peer pressure
  • Davian coaches - coach and bus safety
  • Let’s Cycle - cycling safety
